When did you order? I ordered a set at the beginning of April.

Luckily I got mine on order before the huge spike in lead time. I was quoted 19 weeks and that was when ordered in February. Now I hear it’s 8-9 months

Middle of March. And it was a 26 week wait at the time. Harry from JDfab told me that they were pretty much on time with their expected delivery dates at the time of order.

That's reassuring. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting on a sofa that I ordered in October and was expected mid february. The date keeps getting pushed back :bananadead:

Any LT dudes running dual spares behind the cab? Something I wish I would have done on my 3rd Gen if I went LT and big glass

I ordered mine in late December and they were suppose to be here last month but I think they are stuck at anodizing. They are the same as the caged truck Harry is building.

Not LT but I built a single tire bed rack for my truck. didn’t see the purpose in a dual tire with the limited amount of space available

This looks way better than mine. My spare is just ratchet strapped at the front of the bed with my jack strapped to the top.

Thanks. It's nothing too fancy but does what I need. Overall I'm pretty happy with it. Eventually I would like to make a more permanent home for my cooler but haven't done it yet.

Plenty of space to play with. How does the GFC hold up in actual wheeling and speed?

Better than the truck itself actually. My bedsides did not handle the additional weight well and our trannys get HOT really easy with the additional load. Its off my truck now but I'd buy one again after addressing a few weaknesses.

Chads_taco on instagram had two spares like that Ford. Although I think his was at the back of the bed.

That's a bummer. They look great, and seem fairly practical. But yea with it resting on fiberglass bedsides i can see problems happening quickly. Then there's also that price...

    Whole lotta stuff
Just ordered my locked 2.5x8” coilovers... Now the wait begins. I spoke with Riley and he said they should be able to stick to the 8 week timeline but we’ll see.

This is what Harry from JD fab is doing for one of the trucks with a shell and fiberglass bedsides.

I think the real key is to tie any rack or cap into the frame as Dalandser linked to above. That's what I did with my RTT.

I did something to allow for a second level to be added to my bed “cage” which could hold a tent or camper shell. 4 flanges would be bolted to the corners here.

I don't even have fiberglass. The factory bed sides are not designed to hold that amount of weight consistently and actually wheel the truck. They have the metal bed rails which I didn't have at the time as it was supposed to be temporary, but idk if that would have even truly solved the issue. Best to find a way to support the weight via the frame and not look back.

Yeah, I've see the JD option before. Very interesting way to approach it and out of the box for sure. Not sure what much weight the fiberglass bed would be happy supporting but it'll be interesting to see how it holds up!

I’ll be curious as well. I imagine any LT truck getting hooned around won’t have a fiberglass cap lasting very long on it.
