If you can afford it, I would do it at the same time. It would save a step.

Thought so...thanks. Bumpers, skids and sliders hopefully will be arriving in another few weeks and then the fun begins with getting it all installed.

You dont really NEED a new set depending on tires and lift height, but if youve already got the front end apart...

Does anyone know if something like the Solo Stove is allowed to be used where fires are otherwise not permitted?

My understanding is that if they are the propane powered ones, theyre fine, but if its wood fired it isnt.

It used to be you have to be able to turn it off. Not sure if that's changed.

Recognizing that I'm late to the planning party for an upcoming Memorial day weekend, if I held a little Friday overnighter out at Knolls or somewhere in that area would anyone be interested in going? Would be a decent excuse to drive on sand dunes and drink some beer/cold beverages.

Made it over Elephant Hill with no major damage. I tweaked a couple of the steps (which I meant to take off before the trip, I just never had a chance to actually do it) but that was it. I'd do it again, but I'd like to get armor and sliders done first just for my own peace of mind. One of the group I went with did the whole thing in a 17 year old Sequoia with a 3 inch lift and standard-sized tires. We got some raised eyebrows from a couple Jeep crews running aired-down 37s and monster lifts when we rolled up, but the Sequoia handled the whole thing like a champ.

Lol I'm sure it was a hit to their $60k egos to see a grandma car doing their road with more poise than they could muster. Also, forgot to mention, my @WarFab Armor Sheridan hitch skid saved my back end from a couple of hits. And as a bonus, with the right hit, it can make a nice cowbell-like ding to announce the save.

I installed 6112's on my 1st gen a few weeks back and love them. I have the 5160's sitting on the shelf still because they are a bit shorter that the 5100's and I don't want to limit my down travel. The 5160's were also back ordered and took a while to receive. I don't know if you have your parts already or not but thought it might be worth mentioning even if I'm a few days late haha.

    Shit on a black truck.
Does anyone know of a shop that rebuilds Kings in the Salt Lake area?

@concentric_killa, as I recall, you have a long travel kit?

If so, do you know if there is a high angle CV inner boot? For example, like this kit for the outer boot => . Or, do you just use the OEM style inner CV boot?
