My apologies if the question has been asked, but I don't have time to read through the whole thread. Can this be wired to the typical trailer plug receptacle, and used to energize LED trailer lights? I've been looking for a solution where a power wire doesn't have to be run to the engine bay.

I can do better than that. PM sent :)
Does your third gen have a trailer plug now? If yes, there is a better way to do it. If no, then this would be a good start. Let me know, and we can go from there to get you what you need for sure

I have an SR, so just a blank plate in the bumper. I just need something for basic trailer lights, and have no interest in running a power wire to the engine bay. A work-around would be awesome!

I think we could make a trailer plug for you. Let me look into the options for you.

With the exception of a few custom ones, these should all be shipped. If you didn't get a track number, let me know. Been a chaotic few days. Thanks again everyone!

Very nice. You guys should ask for a pair of turn taps with the brake tap. Johnny can probably color match to those wires too. Sucks to have to tap both sides but nice to have extra turns at that price point.

Quick and dirty is tap ground to ground in and tap positive to acc and brake together. You’ll need a legit accessory power to use the turns though so maybe worthwhile sourcing that from the rear camera junction via T? And now we are talking 4 T’s for one light so more money in harness than light, classic overkill :)

ETA: Per caribe, don't tap camera power, it's 6v. Hit up the trailer connector, see his reply.
