Finally got mine installed today and love it!

It is 100% compatible and even easier on 2nd gens as we have threaded holes already. The only difference is the handle retention requires modification to the grab handles, not an additional purchase.

Forgot to snap pics but in a nutshell you have to grind the premoulded spacer on the base of the grab handle flush with the base. It has a portuded area on the mount so the handle fits flush through the headliner. The rack is flat so the base needs to be flat. I just used the belt sander we have at work to grind the base flat and it sits flush on the rack.

    Rack installed...20210523_112043.jpg
Definitely a tight fit. My dome light had a very short lead so the toughest part was getting the bulb housing back into the bracket and all that jazz..
I noticed the dome does angle back slightly, not a big deal at all.. I removed the rack a couple times just to mess with positioning or pitch, but it kind of is what it is due to how the new dome bracket sits in the little recess. Assuming the bottom corners are tight against the roof for everyone else?20210523_114758.jpg
Going to figure out how to close the gaps around the sides of the dome light.
..now I just have to figure how a measly civilian like myself properly attaches molle pouches to this thing

Thanks for another great product @MESO !

    Hah @Lucky Lefty,

I have the MESO solution and now I’m looking for the problem. I mean hey, I can always put some pouches full of dog poop bags up there. Oh, and a pew pew mount.

Photo of car seat clearance for anyone interested.
Even with a pouch strapped, my kids should fit no problem.20210523_120728.jpg 20210523_120740.jpg
An adult won't sit comfortably if you have a pouch strapped up, especially if they are sitting in your toddler's car seat, but we all knew that already with how tight the taco cab is by itself

I am 6' even, the button on my hat touches the rack when sitting in the back.

Good thing I don't really ever have passengers.

Getting an order of pouches from LAPG next week. Need to find some Quickfists that fit my fire extinquisher.

Same here with the visible gap on the left and right side. It would be nice to of had the dome mold cover more of the gaps, but for me it is not a deal breaker.

Ok.. so I'm a MOLLE noob civilian. Can't seem to find any good instruction on how to easily mount these pouches to a rack.
It seems self explanatory but the way I'm trying is difficult at best, and seems mainly possible with an empty pouch instead of a full one.
Can someone share their method for the best way to attach a pouch to this rack?
    Thanks

    Rollin' hydrocarbons!
Easier is empty. And you weave the strap between the pouch and rack. Alternate.

I tried the weave after I watched a video of someone doing that, but it was on a bag, or a fabric style rack.
It was really hard to get the weave going on the hexrack, but maybe it's the bag, or size of big that was the issue. I'll give it another go

I like the rip away pouches. Thread the straps with the buttons in and out of the hexes so it is secure and not “dangling”

Ok so just the strap through the hexes, and not through a hex, through a pouch loop, through a hex etc etc?
