West Valley location...no name given (602) 481-0494. His story on the ad was that his "friend" got a new tail gate for his Taco and the "friend" gave him the old one to sell and make a few bucks if he wanted to.

 

Here is my convo with him

Me: Do you still have the tailgate for sale?

Me: Tan

Me: Do you have any paperwork on it? Where did it come from?

6024810494: A junk yard it has a number on it black number like a junkyard code? Do you want it or no?

Me: I do yes. What was the junkyard? They will have the paperwork. I do body repair and I have to record the VIN that the body parts came from if they are not new

6024810494: I dont know

Me: You dont know where you got them?

6024810494: No my dad got them for me and I wanted black now

Me: Right but you have 4 of them?

6024810494: Ya

Me: So your daddy bought you 4 different color tailgates before you realized your truck was black?

6024810494: Ya

Me: So your unable to ask your dad what junkyard?

6024810494: I dont ask him where he got them

Me: Then how do you know it was a junkyard?

I asked him about the where abouts of the tail gates..he hung up on me. Passed the info on the a buddy. He said he had an ass load of cases and would look into it as soon as he could. We'll see.

 

I wish there was something we could do!

 

We need a mod to change to title of this so more people will look at it. Something with "was your tailgate stolen in AZ?????" Someone on here has to know someone that has had a tialgate stolen recently

yeah that's weird. Who steals things like that?

 

people take those in to metal scrap yards.... i think you can get like 30-60 just for the scrap of it cause its special metal. my evit automotive was talking to us about it cause he got his stolen last year too. they just get under there with a sawza or hack saw and go to town. it sucks

 

he just replied to my last message and said "sorry wrong number" again

 

ill call him off my girlfriends phone tonight and see if i can buy one... ill tell him i have 200 cash right away so maybe it will draw him in.

 

i might know someone that works for a cell phone company. if he has a house mortgage with b of a i know someone that can get it. need first and alst name though
