Anyone in central - metrowest mass have a good mosquito/tick service or diy solution? Seems like I keep getting a zip code tax when seeking a quote.

Yup. There are at least 2 burned out vehicles I know of out there. One in each pit used to camp in. But, it was just kind of some redneck-edness out there for a while. During the 'rona you have a lot of people going out there since they can't do the beach or anything else, so everyone does the trails instead/camping when we weren't allowed to be within X distance anyway (1) and then (2) you had that fatality, and then a week later because of that, an increased patrol popped 2 firearms violations (one arrest) out there. Can't say I'm really surprised that they're cracking down out there :(

@Spare Parts I went to Guitar Center today to listen to some different PA speakers. I really liked these!

    https://www.guitarcenter.com/QSC/K1...ker-System-With-Advanced-DSP-1500000043840.gc

I didn't like the price though.

I'd definitely recommend listening to speakers before buying them if you can. Like @Spare Parts said he bought Bose speakers and was not satisfied with them.

    Edit,

For the money these sounded very good.

Always wise if possible, though the area you place them in can matter it at least gives an idea. Though I paid $35 about 20 something years ago for my Technics 3 ways and they still sound fine.

I haven't tried those, but if you're looking for PA speakers QSC stuff is fantastic. I just put two QSC K10s in an auditorium last year and they have a ridiculous amount of power. Sound quality is outstanding too. Our band director recommended I buy those when I was redoing some of the A/V in that auditorium. I was skeptical they'd fill the room, but I was wrong. I bet I could put them in a room double the size and they'd do the job. It makes me wonder what the K12 is like.

The K8/K10/K12 would be pricier than that, though. I think there was a CP series that was a more compact version of those speakers with similarly fantastic reviews and those were less expensive.

I'm just looking for something that sounds good, lasts a long time but also that is durable as I move it around every time. My home speakers are just not meant to be handled all the time or especially to be outside in the elements

Look above. I had just linked to a set of the new K12's. They are called K12.2. They sound fantastic but they are also pretty expensive.

Didn't read far enough to see you linked to those too!

I think the ones I used were K10.2s and they are excellent. There wasn't much price difference between the 8, 10, and 12 when I bought those for work.

I'd love to see what the KSub does but if I tried to add it now I'd get questions about why we needed that in a middle school auditorium and they'd be right

Asking for a friend..yes really. Anyone know a decent mechanic in Springfield VT? Just basic oil change, tire swap type thing. Dealer or indie

Are you going to be bringing those inside all the time? The housing is made out of MDF

That would be awesome thank you, trying to figure out where would be the best place to mount one for a few days? Thoughts as I have never used one before.

yes, they might stay set up for a few days at a time. Thinking I would cover them over night when they stayed set up.

I have 2 9s and a 5 session. I’ll grab the hero5 session as it’s just the cube, no screen to break. and clear the card. Let me know when you wanna meet up and I can get it to you. I have clamp mounts that may work... when in doubt we can try mounts and zip ties.

Here are a couple of good mounting points to start with.
    1. Pointing at the carrier bearing
    2. Pointing at the rear diff
    3. Pointing at each of the front suspension setups.

You would only recording of about 5 minutes in each location and try to mark down the speed intervals over the course of that five minutes and roads (street vs highway) in each mounting location. From that, we can get more data to diagnose the problem.
