Haha, like I said- I've been around the block a few times... on the bike at least!

I can't get enough of Fruita/GJ/Moab. It's amazing how varied the riding is between Lunch Loops, Kokopelli TH, 18rd and anything around Moab... It's all so good!

Really looking forward to checking out the newest trail COPMOBA is opening this spring- the Palisade Plunge. It sounds like you can shuttle up to Powderhorn, ride across the Grand Mesa and drop off the edge all the way down to Palisade. I think the distance/vert should rival that of the Whole Enchilada. Anyone on here been on it yet?

I'm staying with family in Reston right now. Working remotely for the time being, and will be leaving for Oregon in July. I'm just off the CCT and have been riding around at Difficult Run mostly. I wish I had some time to explore some more trail heads but I've been as busy as I have ever been these days... Wanting to get to Fountainhead soon, and really hoping I have time to head down to Harrisonburg for a weekend.

I have to say I've really been digging the riding here in NoVa/Frederick Watershed a lot. Lots of great trails!

Whatever you've got that fits! The anvl components saddle I got from a take-off parts bin for $30 and it is on it's third bike, rails are bent, sits crooked- but it's comfortable and hasn't snapped yet!

Fountainhead is great! I actually haven't ridden the shed yet. Harrisonburg is also great! I went to JMU in Harrisonburg so got to ride a ton. SBC, Rocktown Bikes, and Bluestone bike and run are all great shops that can help you out. I'm partial to SBC but I also know the owner's son at Rocktown. I'd offer to hit some trails with you but I am still rehabbing a shoulder injury from March. I just started riding my road bike again so hopefully I'll be able to take it easy on the mountain bike soon.

I'm excited to see what comes out of the Palisade Plunge. Its about 1500 feet less vert but 5 miles longer from the stats Ive seen posted, but we all know that 5 miles out at Lunch Loops is worth many multiples of that in buff alpine trail. I think if anything, it will be good to have more options.

Keep me posted on what you end up going with. I am moving in a couple of weeks so its new garage time for me.... going from storing my bikes in my basement to a garage is going to be like Christmas for me.

Sounds like it opens up in July, so no one's ridden it yet.

On my list for this summer for sure. :D

Rain? What’s that? We’re on water rationing already in Santa Cruz. But at least our trails are dry.

The struggle is real in CO right now. Not complaining, probably the best conditions I’ve seen in five years.
    Bootleg trails are the best.

I have that stuff in my garage. I wouldn't trust my bikes on it. My plan is to rip it out and put something else in for bikes and tools.

I'm planning to try this Rubbermaid fast track stuff in my garage. I like the flexibility to switch between bikes and skis and other stuff depending on the season. If I'm not happy with that I'll probably bite the bullet and get the steadyrack stuff, which look like the best bike storage option out there.

Hey I’m new to the thread and got a taco and a bike. Like to ride trails and off-road every now and then. Are there any good places to find group meetups for biking/off-roading in SoCal?

Meetup I think is the gig for that. At least gets you out there and exposed to the scene and you can meet other people who know what's up and you can ride elsewhere.

I made a few climbing buddies off meetup trips in SoCal, and the mtb group in SLC on there is good as well. Give it a shot.
