I would have given a arm to see that. I watched too almost every Sunday. I loved all the special equipment and mini subs. They were on display at the museum. Glad to see other fans. We did several "refits" on ocean going tugs when I was in Sardinia. That's basically the same as the Calypso. Not quite as cool looking but divers, subs and close quarters.

It takes a special person to handle all that. I speak from experience. You've got this and remember, when it's all done, you can relax and recover.

Yea.... Until I leave FedEx, that's off limits for now... They know I'll be relocating and are actually helping me find a telework position with the corporate office. (It will have to be telework, our new place is literally on the Rim of Grand Canyon. Nearest FedEx location is over an hour drive, one way, in tourist traffic...). If nothing pans out by the end of July, I'll be unemployed again. I have one option that just popped up a few days ago, need to research it a little more and find out if its truly telework, because its right up my alley!

Looks beautiful over there right now...won't be back there 'til Thursday. Trail is drying nicely; we'll get a trail report tomorrow. Likely going in with trucks instead of wheelers.

We've got 'em sproutin' up like dandelions up here. Their discard dirt balls are excellent grow material for garden and flower beds. More power to 'em. :rasta:

That was beautiful, Ive always loved that song.

    Soooo

Throwing gasoline onto the fire that was not a bonfire levels... yet...

Just got a call from my Bro in Law... My MIL has been burning thru a significant number of dollars in her bank account. She 85, has a care person that comes several days a week... So many questions, but no answers. I really just need to quit work and get on a plane.

Ive already discussed with Husband... I don't have to work. I choose to, and I really enjoy working at FedEx. Its just spending money for us. I have realized over the last few months of working for a paycheck, I did more than I thought just 'sitting at home.' Work is now in the way. If I did not have this responsibility to report to them 5 days a week, I might not be in the panicked mood that Ive had for the last week or so... Soooo confused. Just quit? Deal with our personal lives? Try to hang on? I mean, if we're being real here, it would not be a job that I would keep for 10+ years, 5 tops, when the Husband retires from the NPS. And that's the max years I would stay. Im going to try for this one other job. If I don't get it, I will be done with FXG. I have to. (yes, I just made that decision after writing all this out. sometimes it just helps to verbalize it and see the options in front of you.)

    I need a whisky.

 and there you have it.
Go take care of Mom, husband and his brother will appreciate it and be relieved. No telling who might be taking advantage and robbing her blind.
Have that whiskey and make some plane reservations.

If your bills don't depend on it. Tell your boss an emergency has arisen with your MIL, and you have to go. If they are good people they will understand, if not tell them C’est la vie and Adiós
