Happy Monday. Starting off the day/week with a dentist appointment. FML. I hate this place.

I was thinking more like this oldie...

 

2nd vaccine done about 30 minutes ago.

Two weeks and I'm considered fully vaccinated, and don't have to wear a mask, unless the place where I am mandates it of course.

 

Nice! I highly recommend hydrating and start Tylenol, not Advil!

 

The nurse suggested the same. LOL. Said Tylenol only if needed. Guess we'll see how the next day or two go.

 

I took a Tylenol about 6 hours after mine. Worked for me

I’m not a doctor or a nurse, but work with a lot them. I had my 2nd vaccine shot on February 8th. Felt flu like the day after. Lots of water and Tylenol every 4-6 hours. Slept it off and was 100% the next day.

 

I only had a sore arm after mine. Tore up a kitchen floor day after my first dose and installed the replacement floor day after my second dose. Had pfizer, heard moderna has more severe side effects.

 

Pfizer. No after effects at all. Seems like the younger you are, the worse the side effects. That is from my very un-scientific memory of people I’ve spoken with!

I'd been seeing it as the healthier/stronger your immune system, the worse the side effects.
I did the Moderna & it put me down both times.
I'm not younger, but I like to think my immune system is healthier.

 

Is anyone going up to Lime Rock Park for the races this weekend? It is the Trans am series weekend. Current Chevy, Ford, Dodge V8 cars racing each other. It's a wonderful thing to hear. Lots of other fun stuff going on including vintage racing. Sunday there is a great car show at the track. I will be there Fri-sunday. It makes for a great day outside doing something different than just hiking trails or something. Put your steps in waking around the gorgeous facility.

I am not camping this event, but I will be camping the other racing weekend in July.

Lime Rock races have always been something that I’ve wanted to go see. Won’t be this year either.

Can't make it this weekend. Planning on IMSA in July. Being...older...I've been going to Lime Rock since high school in '73. I'd guess I've made the drive out RT4 and then up RT7 in at least ten different cars by now. And still feel the excitement going over the bridge every time. I love the smell of race gas in the morning.

So we have a raised ranch and are having hardwood (pecan) flooring installed in the entire upper level except the baths. Yesterday they pulled up the carpeting to find that the subfloor isn't plywood, it's particle board. You can't nail into particle board. So it all has to come up and lay plywood. KA-KHING$$$$$$$ That burning smell you may notice will be my wallet. F-me.

 

I did J&J too. Sore arm for the day but that's it. Although didn't like 9 of the Yankees get Covid after the J&J vaccine?
