ECU TSB Update

You disconnect from the internet/wifi when you opened Techstream?

 

Looks like you're connected to the internet ....... you shouldn't be........ disconnect and try again.

Let us know if this is not the fix.

 

I was disconnected from the internet and when I connected to the truck it said I needed the internet or work in offline mode. I tried doing the TSB update in the offline mode and it said I could not proceed without internet.

 

Use Techstream in offline mode

When doing ECU update, don't worry about opening up Techstream. Just double click on the .cuw file.

 

I tried just clicking on the CUW file and went through the steps until I got this.

 

Same deal. Cancel, and proceed.

2019 mt? anyway to update 04b40 to 04b41 instead of 04b42

 

Unfortunately, no. There was never a CUW released to go to 04B41. The only way was by buying a later production 2019 MT.

 

Sorry, this question is cross threaded. Here I have problem connecting my computer to ECU.



Wifi is off. Ignition on. Ran the cuw file, and here comes the error mesage. Batter voltage is also good. New battery. Any idea?

 

Did you install the drivers and VIM select?

which driver I need to install? where can i find these step by step instruction. I downloaded the one on the first page. I couldnt find it.

And there is only one option in VIM select. So I didn't touch it. Maybe I ll post some screenshots in a bit.

I purchased flash cable from vf tuner orange virus, And I installed software packages. Not from tactrix. Not sure if this makes any difference.

@tonered, what is the new ECU id 04B05 that @OVTune mentions in the vFtuner thread? is it the latest update? Is 2018 AT next?

Edit: Mat just responded and advised that it appears that replacement (new) ECUs come with that new id. Also 99% idendical to 04B04. Updating from 04B04 is not necessary or recommended as per @OVTune .

 

I'm sure we will see a TSB soon. I have been keeping my eyes peeled for it.
