But why? DD makes lenses to convert them to yellow fogs

Different kelvin rating. Would be two different colors of amber.

I’m assuming he wants to match the amber drls maybe. But DD doesn’t make anything in amber. I have the pros in yellow. I don’t see we’re they even offer anything in amber. Everything I see is yellow including replacement lenses. And you’re correct if you put the yellow lenses on the white lights they would be a lighter version of the yellow lights.

Just checked the DD site. Yellow are 3000k and the white are 6000k.

Yea, I bought ambers and put in white lenses to more closely match the natural light of the headlights.

The pod itself for diode is the same. All they change is the lens. Just buying lenses and swapping will give you the yellow pro fog you're looking for. Their LED chips are not yellow in their pods.

Amber/yellow. Basically I just mean not their white one. Some call it amber some call it yellow. All I'm saying is in their amber/yellow pods. The lens is what's giving it color, not the LED chip. So if you've already got an SS3 pro white then switching it with the yellow/amber lens they sell will give you the same SS3 pro amber as if you bought it that way originally.

As someone else said, the yellow vs white are slightly different and it's really due to the 4000K vs 6000K. I was going back and forth on this a lot and found this video from DD that shows the differences including swapping lenses. In short, if you buy yellow originally it is 4000K and if you swap on a white lens it'll look not as "pure white". If you go with white, then it's 6000K originally and if you swap the yellow lens then it's not as saturated. Still not terrible and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference I bet unless you were side to side with someone.

No, they actually are different diodes inside. I tried it with yellow lenses on a white fog because I bought a few different pair. It gave an ugly tennis ball yellow color so I emailed DD. They confirmed that the LEDs inside are different between the white and yellow fog lights.
