Standard length, don’t have to bend down. Tacoma can small. Doesn’t fit fit below me.

Cause it was worried about heat and I really don’t think it is necessary. The braces will be strong enough on their own it’s not like it’s supporting the weight of the vehicle it’s just gusting around it.

I will say I will not be doing that again unless the truck is on a lift. That was the biggest PITA. I would rather Drop the front diff.

    Stock it was 80 inches,
1985 Toyota mini truck and 4Runners are 103,
104 should work out ok, lowering it another 4 inches and putting 6 inch taller tires on it too

the rosette weld is to prevent the plates from rubbing together as well as adding more rigidity to the factory LCA mount. It’s actually a quite important weld on a plate like that.

What do you mean rubbing together? I mean at the end of the day it’s just a brace it’s not it’s not holding the lower control arm to the vehicle that’s with the factory mount does. It’s pretty damn solid now and don’t see it really needing that but maybe I could be wrong we’ll see.

I have started doing them on all the metal I weld that is stacked on top of another piece of metal, eliminates any possible rubbing noise and like you said adds lots of rigidity to both pieces.

Definitely an important weld on stacked plates if you can fit them. Adds quite a bid of strength to the plate in the back, especially if it’s a thinner one.

Flex, when you have one tire 4 foot in the air your frame is twisting, that is a lot of the squeaking sounds you here on the trails. It don't look like all sides are welded. The one that @BamaTaco56 was talking about will also keep the alignment cam from bending the part you just welded on since there is no weld on that side. I have seen those cams break the factory tabs off. That hole circled in red is there so you can weld it close the the edge by the cams. Did you weld it on the left side?

No but I do burnt out on that I’m not going back under there right now. Your not supposed to weld along the face per instructions. I’ve seen other ppl who didn’t weld I guess I’ll ask them if they ran into any issues. I feel like I haven’t bent it close to that bad with the wheeling center done so far so shouldn’t run into that issue.
