    I saw that Oakland, Shadyside and those central Pittsburgh neighborhoods got it good. We got a decent shower later in the day, enough that I did not need to water the plants and grass I am trying to grow.

    With the topography of the area, I have always believed that the weather can be so localized in the area. You see that in the winter especially with those thin bands of snow that lay down a few inches in one spot but nothing a few miles away.
