Are you not a fan of Goodyear's in general or do you think the new tires are just not enough of an upgrade over the old ones?

I think, visually at least, they are a nice upgrade. The extra rubber on the side wall should make them a bit better off road tire right out of the box versus the current Goodyear's that the Pro/OR get, too.

I'm glad Toyota made a change at all and didn't just get another ultra-mild AT like the current Goodyear's.

I think those GY look better than the current tires.

The current GY are one of the biggest complaints I have read about the current styling of the Tacoma.

Look at the tread pattern. It's the same shitty tire with new rubber blocks on the sidewall.

I've been running those shitty stock tires for a while. Never an issue, never a flat, rides fine on and off road. Wish my sidewall had better tread/looks. Don't recommend getting a set if your looking for replacements, definitely go with an LT, but they have performed adequately. There is a slight chunking problem, though. I wheel in So Cal and southern Arizona, but just my experience.

Respectfully disagree. LT is unnecessary on such a light vehicle. SL rated tires still exceed the weight limit of the truck, but those OEM tires are worthless. I got stuck in a few inches of wet snow... In a level parking lot.

Maybe they're okay in southern California where it never rains or snows, but they are terrible.in any kind of wet weather.

    A few.
Looking at the pic of the tacomas side by side it looks like the one on the left has a little more lift, more space in the fenders compared to the pro on the left.
I wondering if Toyota is doing a new trim level that falls between the pro and offroad and uses the trd lift kit from the factory. They did get a copyright for the Trailhunter name recently.

Loving those new wheels. Think they're my favorite of all the Toyota trucks so far.

Tell me I'm crazy... Is the vehicle on the left lifted more than the one on the right? Or just weird angles?
