So we started prepping last night.

We did most of it before we put it away.
    So just minor things.
So now to start the wipe and shine.
Next week I fire off the pit bikes and check those for the season.

    Morning all:
GEEZ, reading the posts about kidney stones makes me cringe, sounds like something I hope I don't need to deal with EVER, I feel for those who have to deal with them, sure doesn't sound like fun. :(
Back to the brain work last night, had everything figured out for quarterly est. tax payments and everything changed due to a realized capital gain, had to look over last years taxes to get a general idea of where I need to be, and then adjust payments to make sure I have at least paid in what I did last year so not to pay penalties.:annoyed:

    Good morning all,

Ammo shortage is everywhere, I need 40 cal and 30-06, could use a few more boxes of 44 mag but I do have some in reserve and don't shoot that pistol as much anymore. 1st round of elk draw is released this week, fingers crossed we get our first pics again. The state changed the dates for rifle so we shall see, had to do some research and calculations on weather and migration patterns before we submitted our four options.

I am with Carl, reading about the challenges and knowing a few friends that have had stones gives me the willies - I feel for those of you dealing with them.

Off to the vet again, next round for the 4 year old and then one more run in the fall for the puppy - huge difference in service from the vet we used up here. The vet I have used for my labs for over 20 years is all about preventative care and is trying to get everything lined up so we don't have to run down the hill but twice a year (once for each dog).

Col, that is a good lookin bear, I know they are a nuisance but I am always marveled by their looks and power.

Have a great day everyone - be safe things are getting better, don't let you guard down now. Example - our little community - one of two counties in the state where numbers are going up. Alice got word one of her teacher friends in NC lost her battle with COVID yesterday after being on a respirator for 43 days, that makes 17 family and friends between us that have lost their battle.

    Beautiful scenery @cheech1 !
    Beautiful scenery @Tacoma Mike !
Have you tried using Pic-a-nic baskets for bird feeders Mr. @Devious6 , sir?
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porchies! Looks like a day with overstated rain chances again today. Yesterday morning was the end of anything large, it all went East. Nothing on the radar show this morning. Filled LBRs' bed with cardboard, so make a recycling run and a couple errands, and go from there.

Pardon my ignorance, but is that a Lotus? Or? Looks like a fun car for the corners.

I haven't seen much shortage in ammo because I don't shoot that much. Just enough to keep my guns cleaned once a year. Last time I bought (last August?) I got 308 for $27 a box (12) and 16 gauge (12 boxes) which I can't remember the price but it wasn't outrageous.

I like bear too, but I'd rather he was in the freezer.

 sixties etc! Congratulations Mike on settling in quickly to the busy life of retirement. I finally committed -- mentally at this point, will tell the pooh-bahs after I get a few things in order -- that this is the year I say so long. I have appointments set up for financial stuff, medical insurance stuff. I hope to be free by summer, we'll see how that goes.

I didn't read all of the stuff I've missed but did anyone bring up cicadas? Brood X. They're back here again, not as bad as 2004 though.

People were talking about buffing out stuff. So my darling wife bought me something that I was putting off for years because I could just use the one in the shop. This one works just as good if not better.

I have to see if the local jobber has it. I need to do something now cause it’s gone from once a year to 2 or 3 times a year.

Actually, your odds of seeing "that name" all depend on who they ship it with! Remember when I said you'd see a lot more of them? In my little town, they are the often the only place I can get something, so I joined "that name" service long ago. I depend on them now.

Yep. Especially when they deliver it. Out of one location 15 minutes from my house, they lose or delay over 50% of my packages. Complaining will net you "how to get a refund on your Prime membership" from the computer. Finding a live person is.....lucky. Even all the chats are automated with circular logic taking you right back where you start.
