Haven't played with it, is it a whole new way to herd cats/turtles/rabbits?

    I believe it, mostly.

At my old job our IT guy loved using the VMware products. They did all their own onsite IT, no cloud. He'd spin up a VM for you for whatever you needed, within reason. So nice compared to the bigger companies where its like 'oh, you need more than excel? He's this rediculously expensive POS from IBM' or 'Do you have an account we can charge the azure bill to?'

I know what you mean. We're trying to move to dockers and containers to be able to spin up hosts as quickly as possible. Then build a base image and use something like Ansible to clone it.

I think it really comes down to how much control you want and how much coding you want. There seem to be a lot of off the shelf solutions and tools to make it point and click, but once you get into the details or you want something custom, you have to get your hands dirty.

Man, got more stuff moved into the storage here in Sanger.

Feeling good about slowly clearing out my place and storage in Salinas.

You know that had to be some guy that figured he missed a huge opportunity with the pandemic to sell TP and hand sanitizer, so when he saw the whole gas issue on the news he told himself 'not this time'
