What would cause the sensor to malfunction?

Maybe I ripped to many ripe farts?:bananadead:

I was thinking the same thing. What causes that one to fail, its inside the cab and such.... We will pull it out and see whats up, order a new one if needed.

I believe I have the same issue, my horn works fine but my airbag light is on. Haven't scanned it yet though. I think I might have messed something up by storing something under the seat.

@Snail81 and I were across the road (507) from you! Did the Gooderham Trail northbound. First 2/3 of the trail was easy. Last 1/3 was similar difficulty as Ardbeg North Trail. Of course the 35" Kenda commie tires rolled through it all with ease.

The twin-piston AliExpress compressor now takes about 60 sec to inflate a 35" tire from 15 to 30 psi. Previously it was 40 sec for 32" Duratracs.
Really? It was a nice day for it. The mosquitoes where crazy..holy smokes..:crapstorm:

Yeah! A lot of bloodshed that morning just for airing down. My left hand is still swollen from the mosquito bites.

Could also be damaged wiring (only 2 wires) between that sensor and the airbag ECU. Does your copy of TechStream have live data? You may be able to have the parameter displayed in real-time while you move the seat fore and aft to see if the sensor output changes.

Did you remove the driver's seat during the twin-stick conversion?

You better buy her some weathertechs or husky liners for that hot rod Tundra!

That is totally awesome that she took that project on by herself.

No, we did not remove the seat for twin stick's. Just the entire center console area around the shifter.

I do believe my Techstream does live data, so I will test it out and see what it says.

I should have checked before we replaced the clockspring, and actually documented the error codes. Which of course I did not. :goingcrazy:

Jeremiah thinks I had 2 codes before, 1 clock spring, 1 position sensor. Now just 1 code.

I would recommend keeping the add tube and shaft in case you need a spare. Can do a bit of welding and what not to do a poor mans Fj diff tube.

From someone that has them, I suggest taking the top stud out and making sure there's lots of thread lock on it. And if you're running Dakar, you might want to consider limit straps.

I had that top stud come out twice on mine and it's either from not being long enough or not enough thread lock.
