Has anyone installed this kit on their 2021? Every video out there shows a body wiring harness running down the passenger side of the truck that you zip tie this wiring to. But either I am blind or it's not there. I'm just wondering if Toyota changed something up with the 2021. I also noticed the back up camera harness runs over to the tail light area so I'm thinking maybe Toyota routed it that way with the 2021 through the body somehow. It's really frustrating to find places to zip tie this wire to. But other than that, the kit works great. My truck is an SR5 2wd if that helps.

I have a 2021 OR LB with the OEM lock, but the dealer installed it. Mine was routed underneath the passenger side and entered the cab by the right front passenger seat.

Yeah that's the way it's routed. But I'm guessing with the 2021 they routed the body wiring differently, which is what the instructions tell you to zip tie this wire to. Just makes it a little more complicated to run the wire for the kit. Gotta love engineers.

Not a change, I had a 2020 SR5 4x4 DCSB and the harness ran on the driver's side. I was confused as well since the instructions tell you to zip tie to the harness on the passenger side. Now on my 2020 TRDOR I installed the tailgate lock and it had the harness running from the passenger side. It might be based on trim or options?. The SR5 had BSM with no backup sensors, TRDOR has both.

Yes that may be the difference. I may have to look and see if the wire is long enough to route over to the driver side or just figure something else out. Thanks.

The way I ran it on the Sr5 was from the passenger. The frame has holes covered with black circular stickers, remove them and run the zipties through them. It was a clean install even without having the extra harness on the passenger side.

Same for me. 2021 Sport just followed instructions and had now issues.

Tip: have someone help you remove the rubber plug under the passenger seat that has small hands like your wife or girlfriend. You have to feed the entire harness through this small space from inside and out the bottom. Have one person feeding it and another under pulling it made the job much easier. I had to do it twice as the dealer sold me a Tundra kit instead of a Tacoma kit so I got to do it twice.

I installed the lock on my 2021 Pro with zero issues. Took about an hour and a half for me to get it done. I did find some wiring that ran the passenger side frame that I followed. The whole through the cab is under the passenger front seat. It was plenty long. The wiring I followed was towards the inside of the body of memory serves. I was completely under the truck when I ran it.

I just did mine this week and it ran down the passengers side. The existing wire you zip tie it to is very easy to find. It was an easy job except for those pesky plastic clips at the tailgate pass through.
Also there are YouTube videos covering the installation that might help.

    Is your truck a 2021 SR5?

No, Mine is a 2021 Limited.
The kit was the PK3B6-35JS0. The downloaded instructions (instructions are not included in the package) state that it fits MY19 Tacoma and newer C-cab long bed and D-cab short bed models.
The wire you zip tie to is running atop the frame and is easily seen where it crosses by the muffler because of the silver wrap at that location. The instructions caution you to not zip tie it to the brake lines.
