    Fired up my new Trane unit for ac on saturday for the 1st time this year anticipating the warm weather this week.

    It said absolutely not mother effer.

    Blown compressor. Will be here friday from cali because apparently no one on the east coast has a new one in stock.

    The tech that came over said the return line that they installed was possibly entirely to small putting a strain on the system.

    Who knows, it's covered. Now i'll ask for an extended warrranty.

    They said they would bring a unit over if i neded it. He did give me 3lbs of freon in the upstairs unit. So thats a couple hundo right?

    The downstairs stays relatively cool with the oak floors. He left the fan on the trane running and its pulling some cold air from upstairs. Im guessing he felt bad that the unit took a shit, hence the 3lbs.

    Hottest its been downstairs has been 79 so far so its not like its sweltering.

    Oh, btw. The installers asked me to give them a google review when they installed the system back in Jan. I held off because although it was heating, I barely used it. It just wasnt that cold the last 5 months.

    So this is exactly why I held off on writing y review. :)
