Im a big fan of the classic Craftsman acetate handle screwdrivers. But do not try to use it as a pry bar on a wheel bearing, youll lose the first half inch.

I have a few of those as well. Since I got a new set of harbor freight screwdrivers, I can make the remaining old set I have into custom tips as needed.

This convo has inspired me to buy a behemoth of a pry bar for those stubborn cv axles.

This tool has been absolutely essential to me. Many times I have only been able to get holes of various parts on my truck to allign by using this tool.

Well, I fucked up again. Taking it apart again this weekend.

    Such a dumbass.

I don't think my knuckle parts will be here in time (saying June 2nd right now). That's fine. There's a more pressing issue at hand.

    Thanks for the honesty.

I have the Marlin kit but welders around here are scarce. I'm trying to go wheeling in a couple of weeks and I'm worried about the cam tabs.

I guess that works. I'm going to be under the truck again on Friday afternoon so I was just trying to be proactive

Those poly tabs would be separate from gussets. I would just go wheeling and not worry about it. If you happen to bend the tabs, cross that bridge when you get there. Having lifetime alignments helps since it’s not like you’ll have to pay for another alignment.

I never put in the effort to get them dialed in, meaning I never took it to an alignment shop. I couldn’t get the camber quite right by messing with it in my garage. . So I adjusted ride height to be even side to side and went back to stock bolts for finer tuning. Now it’s pretty close, still not perfect. But definitely better.

Once I get LT on and dialed in, I’ll actually pay for an alignment (vs doing it myself) and then tack weld the cam in place.

Im using these (but because I got them for free) https://bisonoffroad.com/product/toyota-tacoma-05-15-4runner-2003-2009-stop-cam-kit

They are ok. They came with some copper sleeves. Im not sure how I feel about mixing different metals, but I havent had any issues, and havent had to align again. Also havent been out wheeling in a while. But I would get the Taco Tabs if I were to pay for them, even though they have less adjustments.. I just like them more.

What caster did you get with the bison? I was looking at those as I have the Marlin lca brace things in a box ready to install, and they wouldn't work with the other kits like the Taco tabs without modifying them. I think the bison ones would work with the Marlin though.

honestly I think its been a few months since I got an alignment. But when I do, I usually ask for 3.5-3.7 caster. I remember my settings were different on each side, but because every truck is different.

I was recently looking at the Marlin LCA braces and I thought I read somewhere that to install with other brands, you might need to grind 1/8" off, which I wouldnt be opposed to do..

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I appreciate the input.

You're not kidding. Going to be at the alignment shop again this weekend.

Getting ready for all the roasting comments of the stupid thing I did or didn't do over the weekend when I was installing the lower control arms.

I forgot the LCA bushing sleeves.

    Ready for all the unsubs.......
