Something I've wondered....
On pre-pay bills; why does it say 'if not paid by xx/xx/xxxx day, there will a late fee? How can you acquire a late fee if you're paying ahead of time?
Example:
Car insurance. If you get a bill right now, which covers the next 6 months, how could you have a late fee? They haven't even sold the insurance to you yet. You could say, 'hey, go fuck yourself; I'll be switching insurance companies'. You gotta pay them a late fee if you do that?
