Awesome thank you I work 6-2 in Westborough daily so home in Auburn around 2:30

 

I would definitely cover them if you'd leave them out. One thing I noticed was a lot of dew would be present on my speakers just at the end of the movies. Not so much on the projector because of it's heat but the speakers would literally be soaked. It's main reason I want to change it up.

 

Ya I have noticed that on some of the equipment. These are way more than I need, but I want to ensure I don’t end up with something that we can’t hear. It’s crazy that my 30 year old speakers bought from Fingerhut were better than my new Outdoor Bose.

I noticed the PA speakers you linked were only 2 way, is there a reason you aren’t looking for 3 way?

 

I have some old Bose 201 Series IIs under my canopy. They were given to me by my old boss when he moved and were already pretty beat up so I figured I'd put them out there until they fall apart, then buy some proper outdoor speakers. Surprisingly, that was years ago and they're still holding up.

They are not ideal speakers for that spot though because of the reflecting cones. You lose a lot of the mids and highs because there's no wall for them to bounce off of. I may buy a set of Yamaha or JBL outdoor speakers for that spot before these fall apart because I thought it would have happened by now.

This was before I repainted, took down the wysteria, and replaced the bar chairs.

Cheers man - put those fogs in last night, only took a few minutes. Didn't take off the grille or the fenders, just reached in. For the ham hocks I call my hands, to get that done that way was impressive! Looks good and not melted anymore!!!! (I don't have pictures right now......)

Because I know myself and I'd really want something that is way overkill! I was already looking at the ones below but no way in the world I could ever justify them. Besides MOST monitors are 2 way speakers.

I'm familiar with the Bose 201's and yeah the "tweeters" in those things are totally not facing the right way at all in your application. Want to get some nice speakers for that space, look at some Definitive Technology outside speakers. Polk Atrium speakers are great too and a bit cheaper.

 

I don't know why I forget about Polk! My entire living room is Polk and I like what I have there. The Atriums are very reasonably priced...might have to do that. But I just bought a garden tractor yesterday and have my eye on a new cart for it and the ATV. I need to cool it with the spending.

 

Dam those are nice, but my wallet just took off running as soon as I clicked the link.

 

I'd get the biggest Atriums they make (there are several different sizes) and then I'd bet you'd hear a big difference with those Polk's. BTW, I hear you! What kind of tractor did you get?

Been getting really tempted for a small trailer to haul mulch and loom with lately. Anybody got experience with these and what to expect to pay for something that could haul say 3-4 yards.

 

A John Deere x500. I bought it second hand because there's no way I can spend what those cost new!

It has a locking rear differential which is awesome for a lot of spots where my last one struggled.

 

great choice, I have its little brother x350 and have had zero issues in the last 5 years of ownership. The Kawasaki motor is smooth and reliable.

 

Yup, this has a 25 HP Kawasaki on it and the 48" deck rather than the 54 (which is good for me, I have a few tighter spots).

It has a few cosmetic things but nothing bad and mechanically seems like it was very well cared for. Transmission fluid, belts, air filter, and blades all seem brand new. I put new plugs in it last night even though the old ones didn't really look bad and will change the oil tonight so I have a starting point. I also ordered a new seat because the one that's on it has some cracks.

Harbor frieght build a trailer is the best and cheapest way to go. You can also build sides that you can take off and on....that is what I did....works like a charm.

There are 2 different ones that you can get.

One of them holds 1195lbs, like this: the other, holds 1720lbs. this is the one that I have. Both of them can fold up and be rolled away for easy storage. All you have to do is cut a 4x8 sheet of plywood (yes I know how expensive wood has become unfortunately), cut is in half and bolt it to the front and back of the platform. The frame also has side girders that fit 2x4's uprights so you can build sides and hold whatever you may need. Then the sides can be taken on or off to carry something wider then the trailer itself if need be. I can take some pictures of mine when I get home today. It really is the most economical way to go and it takes up the least space due to it folding up.

 

Seen some cool builds with those.

PS - I have a chunk of plywood, don't remember the exact size, yours for the taking I can pull the dimensions tonight. Not a full 4x8 closer to half that size.
