Anything welding

Bleacher seats are awesome. So easy to work with too. How did you decide the spacing for the supports underneath?

 

Deck finished.

I don't give much thought to spacing. Just about all my trailers are spaced at 24" or something close to that.

 

Cut out a few Toro/Exmark deck pin plates this morning.

 

Got the rest of the welding knocked out, which was just welding the shock mounts in a way that wouldn't interfere with the u bolts. Why does going vertical up always have to be so ugly... :gah:

Also feel like welds always just look nicer with the heat/silica. They do nothing for me cleaned up.

Either way, this project is done. Bags mounted up, and shock mounts moved more towards the center of the truck to make room for wider u bolts:

I never weld up. I think it's just a skill to have. The shop teachers figure if you weld up, everything else will be cake.

 

Supposedly better penetration, honestly I wasn't even thinking until I did it and saw the bead and was like derp.

 

Where do you find bleacher seat material and how much does that run? Besides sneaking into the ball park after hours...

 

One of our local schools is getting a new track/field/bleachers. I have an in with the contractor doing the tear out.

I pay $3/foot...and it's worth every penny!

The university I used to work for puts on the town show, and I'd help setup and shoot the show. The biggest shell we shot was 8".

Okay, you young welders pissin me off with all these pretty work. Let me post up some snotted up stuff to balance out the thread....ahahahahhaha.
Roof rack was cut off and repainted. (yep, welded that phucker right to the top with bad paint on the bottom) anyway, sleeved the 1" with .75 and slapped it back on with some bolts. Had some shrink but clearanced it with a rubber mallet. LOL

oh, the side ladder does well on the back too...ahahahaha

 

FJ80 front bumper kit welded up. At least the kits fitment was good
