No spacer needed. In 17 inch wheels, the 4Runner wheels have a +4mm offset and the Tacoma OEM have a +30mm, that is almost an inch push to the outside. Add to that going from a 65 to 70 profile on the tire and you are about 1.5 inches further out than stock along with a bigger diameter wheel. I get a little rub turning the wheel and shock compression together... very little and only occasionally. It is the maximum you can go without a lift. For me and my uses, this was just right.
There are all kinds of other options and you will find them elsewhere on this site. Most off road prefer a 16 inch wheel but there also many who run 17s with oversized and a lift.
    Good luck!

Here's quicksand with these wheels. Couldn't find a picture anywhere online of this combo, so thought I'd share if others were interested.

Tacomaworld costing me $$$ again! Haha I have a set of 5 gloss GMG wheels on the way!
Fyi my local dealer charged $208 per wheel after I tried to get them to price match BAM. They were pretty certain something fishy is going on with BAM as at $187 it's "below cost" for the dealership supposedly.

Going with Toyo at3 tires in 255/80r17. Anyone already have this set up??

I would have to check to be absolutely certain, but I believe I paid $192+ tax per wheel from my Toyota dealer here in southeastern Missouri.

Do you have link to an add? The dealer said the would discount my next purchase the amount I overpaid on the wheels if it's from another dealer
