Hey dudes! My girl is looking for a 3rd or 4th gen 4runner that's for sale. Anyone see any lately? Trying to stay around the $17k mark and trying to keep the milage under 150k. Keep your eyes peeled for her! She will also be join us in some of the off-road fun when that happens again

If you're looking at a 4th gen, let me know if you have questions. I have one, so I now know what I should have looked for when I bought it lol. My personal recommendation would be to avoid 03-early 06 for potential HG problems. The design was corrected starting with build dates 12/05 at later. I've got a 6/05 build date and haven't had any issues, but its always something I think about. Can't go wrong with a late v6 or any year v8. If you have questions, let me know

 

I like those 4.7 v8 4runners. I think they only made them for about 3 years.

 

4.7 4runners went from 2003-2009. 03-04 were non-vvti, 06-09 were intake vvti. I got the v6 thinking I would get better gas mileage (I was only working at Home Depot at the time) and the timing chain would be less maintenance. Turns out the gas mileage on both v6 and v8 is trash lol

This is my Friday too except my excitement is because tomorrow I will be at the DMV getting my Real ID, also renewing (aka bending over ) my Taco registration, and turning in my personalized orange farms plates for the new new blue Chesapeake Bay plates, also personalized. I'm going to try to keep the one without the stickers and say it was stolen while I was off roading............at the mall. Some guys on here collect them and put them up on their garage walls. I might send it off.

Then Saturday at 9 am I will be at the Lab giving blood after a 12hr fast. So that means no alcohol tonight after 9 pm. So I will be busy from the time I get off today til then. Luckily for me I have plenty of Tequila. Tequila is plant based, so basically as good for you as a salad. Then I might have to take a stab at sharpening my chain saws. I just keep buying new chains for the big one and that is getting pricey. Now I have 3 dull ones.

Thanks for the tip on the free shipping. It has to be on $75 or more though. I might just contact them and ask if they will waive it. They have the lowest price otherwise.



Since I would have to mount that screen inside the front very most cover again to keep the birds out (which is probably why it fell off) I may just say screw it, make a cover for the front out of the screen and make sure it can be attached to the opening. Maybe I can use a very large diameter SS hose clamp. If I can get @Majora Andrew to print me out an adapter, I would seriously consider a Donaldson or better yet, a Sy-Klone pre-cleaner! The Sy-Klone is $$$$ but also self cleaning. It's a one and done deal. Plus it doesn't look so much like a garden light or bird feeder like the Donaldson.
