SLT (super light throttle) is a great choice and a bit more readily available. In general throttle availability are:

    Autos
    • Regular
    • Light Throttle (LT)
    • Super Light Throttle (SLT)
    • "wife tip" which isn't as readily available. This is more of a custom request.
    • If close to stock, most autos seem to prefer SLT
    Manual
    • Regular
    • Extra Throttle (XT)
    • Even stock, most manuals seem to prefer XT
That's my experience anyway. Your experience/preference may vary.

Had a chance to do some remote tuning in the Florida Panhandle last week. Great looking 2018 on 35's really liked the new KDMax Performance Tune.

He is commenting regarding my post where I mentioned spending extensive time in 4hi and 4lo around 10mph, sustained. I have SLT and it was just too jumpy in in that situation, for my liking, while trying to maintain smooth throttle over very rocky ground. In anything from very rocky/bumpy to crawling over larger obstacles, I want as feathery of a throttle as possible for maximum control and smoothness.

On the street, SLT is perfect for me.

Curious to see if the future plans are for map switching or will we be able to have different maps per each drive mode, which would be even better.

In my case, and probably many others, if we are heading on a far trip to a remote destination for the day or several days, as of now the best solution is to put wife tip or stock map back on for the entire trip there and back, due to a) not having internet or a cellular signal to hotspot, which VF now requires and b) not wanting to carry a laptop along

Map switching is coming "soon" from OVTune, but the cost of us unlocking the files and the truck credits is going to make the costs go up, but it should be available in the future we hope.

It's already available for 04B04, and the rest of the updated ECUs with 1.3.0.

Right... I meant once 1.3.0 is released... but as of this minute I don't think 1.3.0 is available which means map switching isn't available, just checked the website and it says
    SOFTWARE V 1.2.9.9.9 - UPDATED MAY-21-2021
.. so hopefully "soon" still means soon.

Looking forward to 1.3 so we can get 04C21 files as well! Thanks Mat!

Map switching is fully available as of right now on 1.2.9.9.9 for 04B04.

This was released ahead of time for Pro tuners and users alike to take advantage of getting familiar with it, learning a bit about it, and for us to digest all questions so that when we release for all ECUs we won't be bombarded with confused people.

Drive your truck to @PapaRee and let him science experiment on it for a few days and we can make it happen.
I think that is the biggest gap at the moment before we can see a KDULTRAMAXSUPERDUPERZOOMZOOM

Question, not sure it’s been addressed. To unlock the 04B04 map switch tune was 4 credits. Will it cost an additional 4 credits for each ECU with the new feature. Or was it 4 credits to have the map switching feature for all ECU’s?

Got the KDMAX 6 0 LT installed on 5/24 and I am very impressed.
Drove up to St.Peters MO ,met up with VangaSTL who promptly flashed my 17 DCSB.Wow what a difference ,drove 140mi back to camp site that night then the next morning hooked up my 26 ft Travel trailer and towed 111mi through the Ozarks to home.Very impressed
