Yeah, I have priced it out and payed for it today :spending::spending::spending::spending:

Still went with 1” and 3/4”.

My ultimate goal is a set up that works with my camper shell on and with it off. I made it over stout to last. I’m replacing my orginal set up which was a full size bed frame and a 3/4” top, worked okay. The space under wasn’t super useable so tried to keep that in mind this time as well as where the common weights are in the bed

more pictures to come tomorrow. Made good progress today!

It was not finished sanded ply. I attached outdoor carpet over it so didn't care if it had that perfect look to it. I only used wood for the top deck. The rest of the frame, and drawers are 3/4" steel tube.

Here is a pic from this morning. Everything is drying right now and should be in the truck tomorrow.

Alright it’s pretty much done other than handles on the doors which are on order and then I got some 40lb door magnets to keep them done while wheeling.

How are you fellow campers sealing up the back to keep the dust out? Quite a few gaps to fill. Wondering what solutions you guys have come up with before I break out the caulk gun.

I see drain holes and holes in the storage cubbies as places of concern.
I installed tailgate seal kit which should help a bunch on the major leak spots by the tailgate. 96D1B717-3976-46DF-B17E-547172D5F41E.jpg

There’s a member that sells plug kits for the cubbies. You can get plugs for the bed holes. And there’s also a tail gate seal kit for that gap.

I’m not sure that duct tape will perform better than this rubber seal, but it seems like the right idea for the holes in the cubbies

oh I like the idea of plugs. Even some foam earplugs could be ok for the drain holes. I’ll have to take a look for the cubbies

The cubbies is what I was referring to. I don't have a tailgate seal, but my bed doesn't get dusty either.

    Here's mine.
Think I read everyone's post in this thread so thanks everyone.
Used a 2x6 on top of the fenders so I could fit my storage boxes.
My spare will fit as well.
