Been awhile since I posted. Dealership had my taco hostage for 8 months during the pandemic last year for the fuel pump recall.

Finally regeared to 5.29 from ECGS. And While doing a cvc re-tune (ov tune), the tuner was selling an extra rigid armor tire carrier with tray table. Had the camera / license plate relocated. Camera was an easy harness plug and play. Hardest part was probably the license plate light. All wired with quick disconnect. And Alpha rex headlights. Breaking in the gears and trip to oyster farm.

Man that taco looks awesome!! What’s tire size? I’ve been considering doing gears too but unsure what size to go with. How it feel with 5.29?

Hey brotha, good to see familiar members! Your rig looking good as well. I have 33s, Falken Wildpeaks 285/75 16s. With all that extra weight from carrying gears, rtt, winch and mods, regear makes a world of difference. Easier time on hill climbs. with the CVC tune it was the perfect set up here in Norcal. Engine not having a hard time as it was before, no more rpm spikes from gear hunting issues, better mpg was a bonus.

Looks great, do you have anymore pics you can post of your truck/wheels on a sunnier day? Those are the same wheels in the gunmetal that I'm considering for my VDB Tacoma and I rarely get to see that combo.

Here are a few more pics. Folks asked a shot of offset with 265 70/17 Toyo AT3 and the Toyota Gunmetal wheels. They stick out just enough for me, almost flush with the top of the wheel well. Also a couple of side pics but no sun today, maybe in a day or two.6FF54962-5D94-42BB-8787-35BBFBA136F7.jpg

For shoots and giggles, I had some time to do this .. I think this urban camo blue goes well with the voodoo blue.

Drill them. Outside of pelican slick system (super price) none come with drilled holes. To many variables with rack spacing etc to have a factory drilled case. Some people do use straps though the strap cutouts on the roam, but I didn’t like the side to side play

No problem, if you want pics I can post some pics of how I mounted them. I used t bolts with wing nuts inside basically but knob handled to let me take them on and off easier.

    Nice!!!
A Voodoo Blue Access Cab with a manual transmission and the LED lights has to be the rarest configuration possible. I absolutely love it!

I see you removed the mud flaps after the bigger tires did they rub on the flaps?
