Installed the eibach front shocks and springs. Tomorrow I’ll be installing the shocks and icon AAL on the rear before taking it in for alignment on Friday.

NTB used the clip-on weights on my 2008 Tacoma. They also paid a lot of money getting them repaired and repainted as well.

Ha! I couldn’t stand trying to perfectly position my adult beverage on the tailgate so it wouldn’t spill. I’ll no longer have that problem.

Installed some Meso total tails (stage 1) that I purchased from another member here. Really completes the look after installing the OEM Pro tail light assemblies. The LED light also looks so much cleaner. Total install time was about 10 minutes, using only two tools (10mm socket and a small flathead screwdriver to release the plug assemblies).

I really like the wheels and tires? What brand? what size? how about off set? Do they grip in wet sand?

(just riding the typical responses when anyone "shows their wheels"! ;-)

I already clicked the like button ;-)

I've had a few "chassis only" projects myself. Lots of fun, lots of work.

Thanks for beating everyone to the punch. ;)

except the beetle. Always custom. Gonna cram 33’s under there. UCA’s should be a breeze.

Lots of reasons. I’ve always wanted a Tacoma. I had an ‘86 4Runner back in the day that could go anywhere and it was super reliable 300k+ miles…it was a great little truck, and I loved it. Ive also owned a couple other Toyotas since then, and each one has been equally as reliable. So I guess there’s a bit of brand loyalty there. I had actually started looking at older First Gen Tundras, and I soon found that they hold their value really well…and I just couldn’t fork over that kind of cash for a 15+/- year old truck with 200k miles…even if it’s a reliable old Toyota. The number of parts/modifications and resources available for Tacomas is pretty substantial (as I assume any TW member would know…). The cost/value ratio on a Tacoma is so much better than an equivalent Ford or Ram pickup IMO. Not even gonna talk about the Colorado or the Frontier. MPG’s aren’t horrible on these things, and I take mine on long distance trips all the time. Because I use it for camping AND for projects around the house, etc. I went with the 6’ bed. I didn’t even consider the shorty…not hatin on shorties tho!

In the end, these things are fun as hell to drive…it took me right back to the days of my ‘86 4Runner when I first test drove the Tacoma. It has the same “feel” even though there’s close to 40 years of development between them.

Took off the roof rack but still have the mounting feet on until I get new weather stripping. Also trying to decide how to close the holes again. I’m thinking probably fill them up with silicone and then put Teflon tape over the holes?
