I’m wondering which Tacoma comes with the push bottom start that is powered by the Entune 3.0 from the app ? I have an 2021 SR5 that has a basic key ignition and the 7” screen that has XM capability’s. I seen someone speaking of push button start being on the key fob by pressing the lock button 3 times and holding it down on the 3rd press, I tried didn’t work. So Ik theirs a option to start from the app is my truck compatible? Thanks

Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
I think that option is limited to TRD models.

I believe what you are thinking of is remote start. That is only available on certain models. I had to add it to my TRD Off Road. Some models come with a version with it working through an app (I believe 2020 and newer), but once you stop paying for the subscription it ends, even the version from the fob. You then have to install your own remote start if you want it without paying for the app.

Push button start itself doesn't automatically have remote start.

The best thing to do is just purchase a remote starter kit. You just have to press your lock button 3 times and itll start. Like what the brotha said above, you won't have to deal with the subscriptions taking this route.

I have a 2020 Pro and my free app subscription ended a year ago. I use the remote start with my fob all the time. The trick is you have to get the timing just right, otherwise it won't work.

Timing is key. But there were a few threads with people who came across this issue. It worked fine before the subscription ended and stopped afterward. I'm guessing yours came with a true remote start as well.

Is this feature the same as a jump start? Or is this more of an automatic feature? Will it work with a stick shift?

If the push bottom turns on the truck, does that make it a power bottom?
