No, gloves aren't required for handling LED bulbs. The reason you need to avoid touching halogen bulbs with your bare hands is because the glass is made from quartz, which interacts with the oils on your skin. The oils will create a hotspot, which will affect the light output/evenness, and can cause the filament to burn out prematurely. LEDs produce light via electroluminescence rather than heat, so those issues don't exist (most LED bulbs don't even have glass).

I was wearing the gloves for 2 reasons - 1) I did have to remove/handle the halogen bulbs, and I wanted them to stay good in case I ever need to pop them back in. And 2) the wires and plugs behind the tail lights were pretty dirty/dusty.

I bought one of the first knockoffs from China for $120 close to 4 years ago. This picture was taken recently. Still looks new.

    Let there be light!

installed this hidden lower grille light bar from Cali Raised LED. Installation was pretty easy, removed most of the harness and wired it directly to my trigger six shooter fusebox/controller:

I left my dome light on at the airport for 8 days. Luckily I had the MESO LEDs and she started right up.

You should get lucky, I remember in one of the first threads about the lift kit there was a picture of a new red dclb that a dealer had installed the kit on and was selling. So it can be done…

Got a screw in my tire! Leave it or pull it? I was planning on getting new tires and wheels... hopefully the tires can hold on a bit longer...

Added gen 2 running boards for easier access to my paddle board. They look great. I’m glad a member posted that they fit on third gen.

Pull it and plug it. You just don’t know when it will start leaking.

Like others said, I would pull it and plug it. This is my go to plug kit. “Mushroom” style plugs that expand once inside. I started carrying a kit in my motorcycles with tubeless tires and then bought another to carry in the car too. Have had to use them several times and they work great.!
