I think it's almost a sport for JD to figure out how to diss idiots but keep them coming back for more... I wouldn't know anything about it taking the truck back down for round 2.

 

He is probably getting a good taste of being in retail and dealing with the general public like me. He may never do it again

commercial, repeat business is where it’s at. For us at least. Different markets for different folks. I don’t know what that equates to in the offroad world.

Sometimes at the end of the day I jump on and there’s pages of banter to go through. My wife called me out one time on why I was laughing.. I had to explain @kasnerd and his non existent dirt time and the crap he’s getting from everybody. She didn’t find it as amusing.

Ummmmm you should see what our customers want we are the supply chain for food, building, etc. They can be just as bad if not worse than retail since some spend 1 mil plus a yr with us and can't let that kind of account falter.

sometimes they can be a pain, too. We treat everyone like they’re the most important customer. I firmly believe that they are. It doesn’t always seem like it in the moment, but you never know how word spreads, people change jobs and become purchasing agents somewhere and they remember how nice and helpful so and so was.

Quality and customer service have been key for our family for over 100 years. I honestly think that’s a major component to why we’ve survived and thrived so long when so many have folded.

It ain’t easy! No one knows your trade like you (except your competition), so you can’t get frustrated when people ask dumb shit. They’re trying to give you money, and you gotta stay hungry. Luckily Harry has a whole thread full of folks to shame people for him
