I was hoping that would be your answer.

That's why I asked. I wouldn't want anyone having access to my gun case if I was flying with it.

It's too bad the gov't lawmakers don't have much common sense....

I get that - 5 days isn't a long enough time for that long of a drive.

At least you get to go to In-N-Out!

TSA guidelines specifically state that guns should not be secured with TSA locks. The airline will check it out when you declare and if TSA wants to inspect it they will call you to the inspection area to unlock the case. I don't know if it's because I'm in AR or because it has a small chamber flag but every time I've flown with my G19 neither the airline nor TSA inspected it.

For a pistol that will for awhile be a range toy

    Opinions?

I would lean towards the holosun, I really like both my 507C and my 509T.

One of the best parts of living in FW is I get access to the best regional chains, period. In-n-out, Whataburger, Culver's, they're all within a reasonable drive.

    But why?

I'm admittedly a Trijicon fan boy and already have multiple optics from them...I know their durability but we got a few of the 508t in and the price is better obviously and the reviews seem to indicate it can stand toe to toe with an RMR in durability tests

I'd like some actual thoughts on this specific holosun. I didn't care for the 507 and the 509 and similar mailbox shaped optics are bigger than I want

Mainly for the reticle, partially to save a buck. I much prefer the circle dot reticle to dot only, I pick it up much faster.

After shooting my 509 I don’t love the window shape of the 507, I think I’ll replace the 507 with a 508 or 509 down the road.

    Is this normal?

Holosun 507k-x2 at max illum. I don’t use it at max, but notice that on the three highest settings, there’s a lot of reflection (refraction?). Something the camera can’t pick up is a faint vertical rectangle around the center dot.

Seriously thinking about an electronic sight for my glock 30. I want some thing that doesn’t overwhelm the pistol size wise.
    Any suggestions?

Basically stock. OME 882s, HD Dakars and nitrochrgers, TG front bumper, custom rear bumper, 4Xinnovations sliders, RAT skids, Softopper, 255/85/16 ST MAXX's on 16" steelies, 1" B.O.R.A. wheel spacers Scangaugae II, deck plate mod, grey wire mod,ECGS bushing, diff breather relocation, alarm mod, defrost w/o compressor mod, de-badged, sockmonkey beside decals.
those highest settings are for outside on the brightest of bright days. the bright you have it in a darker setting like you are in the more reflection/glare/starbursting you will have. Take it outside on a bright, sunny day and see if you still notice it. As far as the rectangle you are seeing, I cant really help with that one unless its only when its only on the higher setting like you are describing and showing.
