Wait...you paid the Stealership to install wheels? really?

Sounds odd that 265's are rubbing. I think you need a little plastic trimming.

Yeah, only cause the first private shop I talked to didn't want to touch them cause they claimed the tons sensors break easy during removal and didn't want to be responsible for replacing them. Besides, I was taking it in for warranty work anyway.

Regardless, I wouldn't do it again, they're too afraid to do anything that's not stock.

He was telling me they've had some bad experiences with international orders. I signed up on the JLB website & placed an order but no go. Western Union will take $60 on the transaction. Forget that; I'll send a bank draft. Sounds like your order went well.
    Post some pics!

Really, this situation isn't that complicated. It's caused by using 9" wide wheels (forcing the 265s out to be a bit wider) and your -10mm offset. You have a couple choices.

    1. Keep wheels and tires in your garage until you put on a lift.
    2. Remove the mudflaps and trim plastic inner wheelwell and plastic front fender as necessary until they fit.
    3. Switch to a smaller tire and/or wheel with less negative offset.

Actually, the wheel is only 8" wide.

Already talking to DSM about ordering 5100's for all 4 corners, so even if they do rub, I'm gonna lift it anyway.

    Thanks for the help though.

I sweat like a pig the 4 days it took for my money order to make it down there and get signed for by Dustin, but they got it and I got my rims. Not a fun way to do a transaction, and if you know someone with a US credit card willing to let you use it that'd be the way I'd go, but it did work out.

I'll either post pics tomorrow night, or they'll have to wait until I can get my hands on some 5100's

    I've got BFG A/T's on them, 265/70/17's.

Got the rims mounted on Saturday. They rub...like a bastard, front and rear..wife loves it :D

Anyway, got to call North Shore Offroad and see if they can do the install, I don't have anywhere I can work on the truck myself, then track down some 5100's. If I can't do something relatively quick I'm going to have to trim the fenders or my wife is gonna leave me.

Just missed the last DSM stock of 5100's so I'll try Essex Distributors here in Vancouver, but they're gonna be expensive. Plus I need to get the Eibach springs from Toytec.

Essex Distributors carry them. They have a website, but if you're in Vancouver you can just go pick 'em up yourself, they're over by Ikea in Richmond. More of an Audi / Volkswagon tuner shop, but they are the Canadian Bilstein rep. Haven't checked yet to see if they have them in stock.

Until I read your thread I was actually considering getting a set myself...no thanks, too much trouble! I'll keep the stock ones.

Yeah...I suppose if I had known that they would rub I wouldn't have bothered, but I've got them now and they're on the truck. The rubbing can be fixed by trimming, a lift..or both, but at least it can be fixed.

If your still looking for a lift try Bajanorth in Kamloops IMO they have better distributors. As far as i know NSOR only has Skyjacker,Bajanorth has camburg, king, fox and sway a way.

I actually did take some pics last weekend with the intention of posting but all I had with me was my iPhone, once I got them uploaded and had a good look they were all grainy, blurry n' shit. I'll try to get some better pics this weekend with the SLR if it isn't too rainy.

I'm only thinking of NSOF to do the install, I'll be buying everything I need ahead of time. But I'll check out Baja North anyways.

    Thanks !

Ok, weather still sucks but I managed to get a few pics. Truck isn't lifted yet, but at least you guys can get a look at the rims.
