Yup, my pre-Tacoma ‘90 has IFS, but it’s the best I can do unless I can convince my uncle to see me his carbureted ‘82 Land Cruiser. I’ve been trying for 15 years...

I’m thinking a 1gen access cab with the 3.4 and manual transmission.

 

That's perfect. My rig is a 96 access cab, 3.4L and manual. When do you want to drop the heap off?

 

Plan for the amount of power you want 1st

I'm struggling thru motor swap research, I wish I had an old toyota diesel pickup that I could do whatever I wanted motor wise

 

The 3.4L with a manual has plenty of power. It has so much power it was able to do this to my u-joint on the slip yoke. lol

 

I plan to be a little bigger than that

 

What platform are you putting them under?

 

Thats why tow rig is a must. Has all the power and can do 80 towing. I'd be lucky to do 70 on flat ground in my runner lol

GM 14bolt 5.38 grizzly locker chevy 63"spring with 12" kings
I'd like to get a 2UZ out of a 2003 4runner 2wd just to eliminate any 4wd wiring for simplicity sake when taking it to a referee to get smog done
a740f trans for the 5 speed and see if the crawlbox I have in the truck currently will hold up to it

I'm currently waiting on the coilovers to start diving into the swap

Just wanted to stop by and say I miss you guys...

Been a while and kind of stepped away from everything for while but trying to get into the mix of things again now that things are going back to somewhat normal again.

 

Anyone have some front runner wolf pack boxes they're looking to sell. Let me know. I thought I'd ask here before i buy new.
