Power converter

So my 2007 Tacoma switch for the bed outlet turns on when I press on it and turns off after a few seconds. I hear a click in the hood when turned on and when it turns off it clicks again.The outlet itself doesn’t work. Any suggestions please?

Check the relays and fuses.

 

Could be short in the factory wiring or plug receptacle. The inverter is on the floor between the front two seats. Thats probably what you're hearing.

high resistance open ( tech term )…………………………...weekend mechanic = loose or corroded connection
