He needs to sell it on Bring a Trailer or Cars&Bids. The people who buy on those sites get auction fever and do more stupid stuff.

I went to a tractor auction a few weeks back with a friend who fixes and flips them. He said people were paying asinine prices simply because inventory is low and people get caught up in the bidding war.

Damn dude that blows. Sorry to hear that. We moved around a bunch as a kid because of my dad's job but we were always together. The thing that I hated was all the school switching, especially in middle & high school. As an adult though I can appreciate it from a different perspective what he (my dad) was doing, also I got to see way more of the U.S. than most kids my age at the time. But one thing I won't ever do if I can help it is make my kid go to several different schools, as a teenager esp it really fucks with your ability to build friendships/relationships with other people.

I have to think though its definitely better that we were all together at least than having my dad be away for years at a time. That's pretty tough

On the plus side, you make friends easily. You experience different cultures, and overall become a more rounded individual.

I too hated moving a lot as a child, but personally I think it worked out in my favor.

Dad being a lifer in the military meant more than just moving to another town; hell I went to Elementary school in Germany.

The description says the front seats were re-done. Looks like they were done well. Props to the owner for doing that... but bummer they went to all the trouble with the seats and then paired it with the bedlined exterior.

yeah I can't imagine what being a military kid would be like, they were usually the ones I could relate to though when switching schools (if there was a military kid around).

I remember having a friend when I was 19 or so that told me he'd never left LA county before, that blew my freakin mind. Of course that's the other extreme, but I think somewhere in the middle is probably better overall lol.

My dad just worked for Farmer's Insurance in the corporate setting, so every time he'd get a promotion he'd get the opportunity to be relocated to a new corp HQ in a different state

Our fire alarm went off here yesterday, apparently it wasn't a test and we had to evacuate outside until the fire department showed up and cleared the building. False alarm I guess.

I put gaffer tape all over the fire alarms in the photo studio because they set off the strobe lighting packs if I have them turned on, which is what happened yesterday. Suddenly it was like bombs going off in every corner of the room lol. Some of the tape had come off one of the alarms.

Whenever the FD does an inspection I always have to explain that to them, because they get pissy when they see you've covered up the alarms.

Yeah, the front seats in mine need a nice recovering like that. I tried to get a local place to do it and they quoted me $900 per seat. For that price I'd rather ditch the stock leather and buy some nice Scheel-Mann aftermarket seats which are supposed to be excellent for long term seating comfort.

Lol I meet people like that now

    Me "you've never left xxx?"

    Them "no"

Me "holy fucking shit....how do you do it?"

I've learned to be much more tactful in my responses; I can tell a lot of people's feelings get hurt lol

Three people have struck up a conversation at stop lights about the flatbed. Everyone at works asks about it now. And everywhere I go people stare at it. Meanwhile my double cab might as well be invisible lol.

Agreed. Tough when you go through it but good in reflection. I went to elementary/middle school in Okinawa, Japan and it's where I first got into cars with the drift scene happening there in the late 90s.
