If you add it at the time of purchase it gets the same 3 year warranty as the stock one, if you add it after purchase its a 1 year. So yes and no. I'm having the dealer install it so they can't make any arguments down the road with powertrain or other warranties.

Better than nothing I guess. To be fair it is still modified so fair for a warranty. At least there is little to go wrong with the suspension.

Absolutely. I like they have made this an available option to begin with. When looking over all the info out there about lifts, CV angles, diff drops, and UCAs. Lifting a brand new truck seemed iffy when it came to possible warranty issues. To my knowledge if you modify one thing that interacts in some way with another thing, you have now voided the warranty for both things. I like to gamble as much as the next person, but those stakes just seemed to high for me. Worst case scenario is I'm paying way more for the factory option than other options out there. But I have piece of mind. Not to mention TSS is guaranteed to function properly.

Yes but if you have it installed prior to taking possession of the vehicle you get a 3 year warranty. If you already own the truck and bring it in you get a 1 year warranty

I am happy they released this as I only wanted like 1-2" so I plan on running these on the middle ring
I also didnt need the full kit so I was finally able to get an order in for just the shock kit and best part it only cost me $230 shipped. Its on backorder and they told me it may take a week or 2 before it ships but I am totally fine with that. Cant beat the price for what I got

Does anyone know why the TRD lift kit can't be used on DCLB?

I can only assume because of a weight difference or weight distribution with the LB.

Plenty trd lift been install on dclb. Dealers just tired of dialing in the numbers so it just says it won't fit. Anything from 16-21 long or short bed.

    Factory lift kit
Hey how’s the ride feeling now that you’ve had some time to get used to the factory lift. Waiting on my Off Road with the factory lift kit.
    Thanks

The listing from Toyota said it’s for 2020 and up. Do you think they would install on my 2018 or is that out?

Absolutely! Will work on the limited, Sport, OR, PRO etc.... Will even work on the 2nd gen Tacoma's but will raise the truck more. (3")

For anything you do to your truck, To void the warranty? The dealer needs to actually prove that what you did had a direct effect on the issue. Most dealers will use scare tactics to try and up sell you on their overpriced items. But if you have a good dealer they will cover it because it is not worth losing you as a future return customer.
IMHO it's a decent lift. But again overpriced! But if you think your dealer will try and shaft you if anything should go wrong with your truck? Than it might be worth the cost?
The rack-n-pinion blew out on my buddies 2017 Tacoma OR with 35" tires and our local dealership covered it no questions asked! So it would really depend on your dealership.

I'm surprised to hear that the street imperfections could be felt more after the TRD Lift Kit versus the stock TRD Sport suspension. I thought that the Bilstein 5100 shocks would give the truck more cushion on bumpy roads. Is it because of the block in the rear or is that just how it is with lifted trucks or is the TRD Sport suspension particularly good at dampening bumps on the road?
