Sounds good, just PM me sometime a few weeks beforehand and we can set a date. I tend to do a lot of last-minute hiking/hunting trips that time of year but can hold off if we agree on something. Shouldn't take very long to apply the wax, may 1-2 hours depending how meticulous you want to get.

 

I did mine myself with spray cans shortly after I bought it. I'm always happy to assist/ hang out drink beer for the cause.

The compressor and spray gun is definitely the way to go. So much easier and better coverage than doing it with aerosol

13 cans?! Good god. I used like 5 when i did it with cans

I bought the wool wax kit and the thing said its enough for 1 vehicle.. I used like 20% of it. I sprayed it on fairly thick so i dunno what people are doing with that much more of it.

 

First time using this stuff and was thorough

 

1 gallon does the Tacoma, the 4runner, and the Yaris with some leftover

 

Thats close to what i used. About 1 quart per vehicle.

Not sure exactly what you are asking, do you just want the coating or are you looking to get a new frame if possible?

Just saw your in a '15 so you have lots of time, 12yrs from in service date.

 

I just got a flyer from Toyota Corp. telling me my 2017 needed the coating before 2/2022

 

Has something changed? haven't heard or seen anything on here about them changing the rules.

You should cover your name then put the flyer in your old truck for the next guy.

 

I had it done on my truck at their location. I passed the inspection so they only sprayed the inside of the frame with some white stuff.

My 17 was rusty and crust after a few weeks.

this bad boy was fresh off the truck from Mexico

 

Better get a nice coating of woolwax on there ASAP before it turns to crud!

 

Bob doesn't need too, he only keeps em for one set of tires.
