be careful with letting others monitoring your house. I would not trust them to keep it powered. A simple 27 device will keep you powered up without relying on a zoomer watching your house voltage.

All they monitor is the health status of the generator - not linked to anything in the house. My computer is on a back-up battery.

Excellent, you want all controls hard wired. Anything that is alarmed or monitored is ok to be sent via FIOS or wireless, but direct control is best to be hard wired.

IMO the wireless features are a giant waste of money and we should stick to the OG stuff. I did some research and found there is a separate switch for the remote, are you sure you turned that off? I would suggest just having a main disconnect to kill power to the whole thing regardless of the winch design. I've never used those fancy wireless features anyhow. If I needed to winch wirelessly I wouldn't even be wheeling I'd be sitting home watching Fred Williams LOL.

I don't know about winches but this is one of the best investments I've made. I hated dragging hoses around the yard!

Good morning PA TW. Looks like rain most of the weekend but make the best of it. Gonna change the oil in the truck but that's about all I've got planned. Enjoy the day and be safe

Yea I've gone thru the check list to make sure I was not the problem. What I'm looking for is someone who can test a circuit board for a power draw in the remote. Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.

My PA brothers, anyone close to Pittsburgh have techstream/VF and knowledgeable to do a tune, turn off seatbelt ding? I don’t know what ECU code ID I have, but I’m suppose to go have the fuel pump recall done June 12. Was going to see if they would check and update me to the 04.

    Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!!!

Still raining here this morning - pretty much constant since about 2:30 yesterday. Looks like we are in for showers through Monday with temps in the 50s and 60s.

Heading out early to pick up a colony of bees and bring them back to our apiary. We set them up about 6 months ago where they could pollinate an orchard. Job done so now we get to bring them back to make honey.

    Be safe out there!!

On today's episode of This Old Slaughterhouse, we'll be ripping out half the overhead structure on the hide on side and moving it approximately 8 inches. On the clean side, we'll also be moving the main overhead chain supporting structure by about a foot!

In the meantime, we'll drop about 200' of 678 chain on the ground and add about 100' of new chain to the existing chain. On next weekend's episode, we'll be moving the acid wash cabinet and cutting new holes in the floor to the basement!
