    Had a 0450 encounter with a fox trying to get into the chicken pen, Bandit woke us up screaming. Fucker was halfway through a seam on the chicken wire and got a mouthful of feathers from one of the girls.
    Husband banged on the window and it didnt even budge, so I ran out with the rifle and was able to pick a shot off at it from about 15’ but was my last damned bullet (shot through 2 walls of chicken wire so unsure if it was a hit, husband thinks it was but I couldnt find blood).. SO I fortified the pen with 1.5” industrial staples so its unbreachable, we set a field of coyote snap traps around the perimeter of the pen, and ran a line to the window of the gym to yank the pen door closed and will be getting up at 4am to open the gate and bait it to turn the pen itself into a fox trap so I can blow its head off properly if I missed this morning. ‘Merica.
