When I posted this back in 2009, options were very limited in getting rid of the chrome. I went from red, to matte black and finally modified an actual Toyota emblem. Now, these 3D printed logos are the way to go imho. Just pay a price that's more than fair imho and 3m tape it on. I've since switched out my interior to the 2012-2015 version. I purchased a matte black Toyota emblem and stuck it right on. Same as you did and it saved me a lot of time.

    Cheers!

Nice! Happy to hear you figured something out. The one I used required that I remove the OEM emblem by taking the steering wheel assembly apart. I chicken'd out at the time due to the thought of replacing the airbag incorrectly. So, I ended up unhooking the battery and prying the old emblem off then applied some super strong industrial adhesive. I still feel to this day that I have created a semi painful projectile if the airbag were ever to deploy

I'm also in the process of updating the interior. Way better looking IMO
