possibly a really stupid question. because the hoseclamps on the fuel filter are exposed to road elements should i get new ones? 35k use. doont need fuel leaks.

If you're asking, just get them. If nothing else piece of mind for you.

Not Taco related, but installing the new JT 3.6 Magnuson supercharger tomorrow. Thought the ECU reprogramming was send out, but turns out it is an HP Tuners DIY re-flash with an ECU send out for unlocking. Also Magnuson’s official JL/JT install video is for completely the wrong platform, so hopefully they did better on the printed instructions.

Clamps are clamps bro. As long as they aren't rusty or their integrity doesn't appear compromised due to a botched install or something which doesn't make them truly round, I personally don't see a need to replace them.

If you are talking about worm drive clamps those are typically stainless steel so you shouldn't need to replace those for a long time unless they somehow prematurely rusted.

I was in stunned amazement at the idea of a 3.6L S/C for your Jeep. It made much more sense when I found Magnuson's 1.9L S/C designed for your 3.6L engine. :anonymous:

Should be a great upgrade. I look forward to some pics and your review...

Do yall have any tips for removing the alternator pulley short of getting a three jaw puller? Mine appears to be seized on. Debating wether or not to heat up the pulley some with a propane torch

Ive been spraying some pb blaster down in there but it doesnt seem to be helping

You removed the bolt already? It came off easy when I removed it. It shouldn’t be pressed on.

So I did the oil cap mod. But I'm dumb and put the sticker on before screwing on the cap. Now it faces the rear of engine...anywhere to buy a replacement sticker? Saw Amazon has a cap/sticker combo for $16, problem get that unless a sticker can be found cheaper.

Do you have a replacement pulley?

I had to maul mine by wiggling with some knipex pump pliers and it came off eventually. Only problem was I couldn't tell it was a stepped pulley until it was removed and I had the un-stepped version from NST.

If you don't care about putting teeth marks on the stock pulley the cave man method works.o_O

Who is familiar with HP Tuner software? The instructions say to Resync the RTD tool to update the drivers prior to use, but when doing so I don’t get the dialog shown and it says to connect the MPVI interface. Everything is connected. I’ve rebooted. Tried proceeding anyway and won’t work without this step. What am I missing?

F-ing Windows. Fixed it. Had to manually find and install the drivers myself.

Damn, I was rooting for you. Seems impossible to tell if it's stepped or not until the pulley is off.

NST did exchange mine for the proper one but my truck was a brick for a month (Canada shipping during covid and customs) while I waited lol.
