the dealerships price would give you a starting point at least. hell they might even give you a number you find acceptable

I live in SOCAL. I can probably get back on these dealerships when they mark up tacomas back then. Appreciate the time sir

    It's a secret
I am an advocate for people making a profit when providing a service or specialty skills. "If you're good at something, never do it for free."

I just figure sharing an opinion as if I played the role on the receiving end of the deal...what goes around really does come around. I personally won't sell my truck privately to someone and approach them with an excessive asking price. BUT, if I sold it to a dealership, I will gladly take as much as they would offer me

Vroom offered me $43.5 for my 2020 I bought last June currently with 11k miles, I have all the same options but my truck is black. Cement carries a premium, feel free to go from there. That is more than I paid for my truck so I'm happy as a clam.

Just saw a loaded Cement with 32k miles sell for around $46k here on the East Coast. Think it was a 2019 or 2020.

    Location, location, location.

Socal I think you have Carvana, Vroom, and other "no hassle, don't wash it, type in your license plate and get an offer"
They will want photos before sending the truck to pick up it. I've used Carvanna as it was simple.

You do get a better money private party.

    1. Clean every piece of crap out of the truck.
    2. Have it professionally detailed ($300)
    3. Take photos with Neutral backgrounds showing how beautiful it is.
    4. State a price. If you have $36,000 from Carvana, stating $42,000 is fine. Carvana's offer is typically good for seven days.

The market is insane. Any online price guides are owned by huge car companies. KBB was great for years, but I think it was CarMax who bought them and just manipulated the pricing to their advantage, not real sales.

Craigslist, Facebook Market Place are all good. Even with a paid-off title I still tell people "we will meet at my bank to do the final paperwork". You want cash, they want a title and the vehicle. Cashier's checks could be bogus. Never release the title until funds are clear. Most branch managers at a bank know every possible scam, so it's good to know have some. I've shown up at the buyer's bank, so they can issue a cashier's check.

    Good luck on the move.

OP, I would try Carvana, KBB, and vroom for comparison. I ended up selling my camry to a local dealer thru KBB website. They will try to match carvana offer. Good luck

Texas, a fully loaded Tacoma is very rare these days, you won't find more than 100 nationwide

People think they're rare, but they're not.

The whole used car market right now reminds me of 2005-2006 where people were so caught up in the frenzy, that when it imploded they found out houses weren't rare like their income which could vanish at a moments notice. The next economic bust should be interesting. A smell another TARP

Can you provide guidance on how to find them? I’ve been trying several websites but no joy. Thanks

It's kinda hard to default on auto loans nowadays (long terms, low APR, refinancing), so unless we see some crazy economic crisis, there wouldn't be a massive influx of repossessed Tacomas bringing the price down. Gotta wait till automakers start producing more

Are you implying that tacomas are in demand atm because of supply limits?

Just list it private party with what the window sticker says. There's plenty of people out their will to pay. The only reason I traded my 2018 Tacoma in was so as not to deal with people

I would reach out to different dealers and have them fight over it to get the best possible offer .
