Learn a lot from it too. I have enjoyed learning suspension theory. I’m enjoying opening up different shocks to see how they are built and valved. I’ll get the tuning down eventually

    Eh do your thing.

Suspension theory is great and all but application is a whole other ballgame. I've been humbled by 4links for offroad as compared to what we ran drag racing. Sure there is a lot that is transferable but you're adding a lot more to it. I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the whole flex steer and then trying to figure out how to get rid of it.

I see the theory as the starting point, then real world testing based on application has to take it the rest of the way.

Very pleased with the amount of rear end flex I have now. That ledge was pretty high off the ground. @Dirk Diggler thanks for getting the shots. I have a few of you I’ll post later!

I remember seeing Ole 22 today. I said ole nope and kept driving lol I actually completed an orange trail, this was on Lucky’s trail. Also, is it bad to deflate your tires this much? This was on 18psi with C rated tires

Yeah depends on the side load. I've lost a bead at 18ish, 12 and 8 so it all depends on how the tire rolls.

What did I just read? How about some laymen’s terms.

Preload does not make the shock itself longer. It increases the force necessary to initially compress the spring. Therefore you sacrifice travel (spring shorter) but gain ride height because the truck settles less when sitting on level ground.

Yeah, holy shit I don’t want to talk about springs for the next year and I’m sure everyone else is tired of seeing it on here.
