My sis took a pic of my mom on her polaroid when they came out to ride last fall, and I just found it. Has a cool older Dirt Rag Mag vibe to it.

My mom, one of the most risk averse people I know, every time she visits:

    CAN WE GO MOUNTAIN BIKING!?!

Unfortunately, I'm one of those losers that only owns one bike.

You should checkout Routes Outfitters. They have decent rentals and they appear to be on sale for memorial day. I can show you a few trails that won't be muddy.

If only I could get away with it. It’s a family trip with the fiancé’s family. Lots of hiking to be done though.

    Lame :D

Don't worry, you will see about 200 mountain bikers while you are out just to rub it in.

What trails are you guys going to hike?

Man I’m just along for the ride, if you’ve got any suggestions we will take them. I know pikes peak, would love to go to the Rocky Mountain national park, but I’ve heard that place is ridiculous right now with everyone wanting to get out.

Devils Backbone might be okay. But Horsetooth is probably going to be a shitshow with everyone flooding the reservoir and it being so close to FoCo

Seven Bridges trail would be nice but it a little bit of a long hike because of the parking situation nearest the trail head. Follows a creek up towards Pikes peak and has a lot of rushing water and little waterfalls. Section 16 is not bad either but only has one little waterfall. I would avoid Red rock open space because it’s going to be muddy.

one of my first GoPro vids on my hard tail.

has Horsetooth and DBB, albeit no Heart attack hill from the backbone. The back section is pretty fun especially with that long open flat single track.

haven’t been back since last year’s wildfires though.

Bike park at Mammoth Mountain, CA opened yesterday. Trying out some new kicks; finally, some dedicated mtb shoes I can use on the Saint pedals. Typically, it’s been sneakers or hiking shoes. The 510’s feel way better on the pedals and are so light. I should’ve picked some up a while ago.

It's one of the most visited parks in the US since it's so close to a major city/airport. It really is crazy busy on the weekends, but not too bad at all weekdays. If you don't think you'll ever get another chance, just do it.

Yeah I did it on a Monday. Not bad at all. We did get a guide though which was actually pretty awesome. In addition to the usual guide stuff we talked about ski touring and how he saw Tommy Caldwell in town one time haha

Headed to Angel Fire Tuesday - Friday if anyone is down. Absolutely the best time of year to ride there. Everything is open, and prime time.
Worth the time off if you need an excuse. Let me know, happy to meet up and slash. Going solo.
