Lol, I felt that way too. In the pictures on their website site, that's the way it's mounted. It didn't feel right so I turned it the other way. Much better now. :D

Pulled the new to me shell up and back to clean the underside some more and add more weatherstripping to the front. It has a double bulb gasket, but some of it was damaged. The biggest challenge will be cleaning the camper front/cab rear windows in between. Leer never got back to me about the model, so I’m not sure if I can swap in a swing down window. I also got the brake light wired, and I picked up a 12” LED tube light that can rotate about 180*. I also had some cheeseball LED lights that came in the cheap rear bumper I recently installed, so I went ahead wired those up as well. I still have another round of wiring to do (switches, charge ports, voltmeter, etc.) but overall I’ve got the rear half in good shape.

Little bit of this and that
Black heat shrink, should be durable enough to handle ( :D ) the abuse and thin enough to not cause issues with shifting.

Got my new Roam 4ft awning installed. Thanks again to Aardvark13 for the hookup on the Prinsu awning mounts. Painted some brackets to hold a pair of traction boards. Threw on a new grill that I painted the surround black. Hoping it holds up better than the plastidip did on the old one. Tried to reinstall my lca skids but they don't seem to line up on this particular pair of lca that I have. Gonna mess with it again tomorrow when it's a bit drier. Gonna spend the rest of the day going through my camping gear in preparation for the first trip of the year next weekend.

Lol no shame in wanting nice things for our trucks lol. I ended up pulling the trigger last night and bought those little mats from Amazon with the colored accent to match it.

Installed a pair of Hi-Lift jack mounts with some Quick Fist mounts for a shovel. The mounts aren't cheap, but they are well made and seem to hold the jack securely. The jack base is just wedged below one of the mounts and the bed mat for now.
