Does anybody use T-Mobile internet? I got a e-mail that said $60 all I can use. Seems its a 5G service. Experience any throttling?

I have it in NJ near NYC and had no issues. Basically just plug and play.

For straight up Internet, no. But my phones all have "unlimited" data with wifi sharing with T-Mobile. I usually have that on when we're on longer drives so the kids have internet to their tablets and such.

House is still a hardline as I need major and reliable bandwidth at home.

It must have recently gone up in price; I have T-mo's Home Internet service with their "gateway."

It is 5g, and where I am I've seen over 200Mbps speeds, but average around 150Mbps.

Tmo still throttles, but HI users are supposed to get higher priority than normal users. I'm usually connected to a cell tower that doesn't see enough traffic to even consider throttling, so it probably depends on how rural you are, and how many others like you are also on it.

I heard they are going to "lock" their gateway devices to your "home tower" but AFAIK they can move around and still get signal. I also have their Mobile Gateway (T9) and SIM that's capped at 100GB/mo, but they allow to connect to different towers. This is only 4g, and I see around 50Mbps - 75Mbps. This is for working while on the road or camping next to a lake.

I pay $50/mo per line, but used to pay $150/mo for just cellular internet through a third-party, but it still used TMobile service. I've been on dedicated cellular connection at home for close to 3 years, now in two states. Yes, there are sometimes issues, but for me they're rare. Their support lines are usually VERY backed up, but they'll call you back in hours or days. You can try it out and cancel any time.

If you're into networking at all, their Gateway device is not customizable beyond changing SSID names, password, channels. They force you to use their pre-configured subnet, so if you run servers or anything at home with static local IPs, you'll have to deal with 192.168.12.*
Unless you bridge and rebroadcast with a different roster; I'm still running an old Nighthawk R7000 with DD-WRT.

    none, yet
Have cell phones and internet with T-mobile. Very very happy happy... paying a little over $100 for all three. About 70+ mbps download in CT. When I talk to them they said try it for a month, if not happy cancel it and I owe them nothing. They have partnered with YoutubeTV and give u $10 off TV if T-mobile customer. Cell phones, internet, tv for around $160 a month out the door. I live part-time in Europe. Free texting and free 3G in Europe. 3G is good enough everything except streaming. Winner...

Agree with the European Tmo cell service. Been great for years.

Any issues getting WiFi connectivity throughout the house? Looks like we’ll be putting the Tmo modem /router thing in the basement but one of our offices will be on the 2nd floor. Can’t imagine that’ll work out well without something to extended the WiFi upstairs
