I'm having trouble getting a new UCA re-attached to the spindle. It seems like there is an impossible amount of distance to cover still (pic attached). The new coil overs are Fox 2.5 extended travel with 14" 700lb spring so I expect there to be some additional downforce on the LCA I guess... but I'm sort of stuck right now.

Do I need to put a floor jack under the LCA and lift until the shock/spring compresses enough to make this work? I started doing that but the truck started lifting on the jack stands...

Why can’t you just rotate the UCA down to meet the spindle? Did you already tighten it up or something?

you can do a combo of jacking against the LCA and rotating UCA down and it should meet up just fine.

I’ve rotated the UCA down as much as I can considering the movement limits of the uniball.

I think I’ll have to remove the jack stand from the passenger side and just have one under the driver side while I lift the LCA with a floor jack. Hopefully I can get enough compression to get everything to meet up

Yeah okay I got it… just had to reconfigure the jack stands so I could really put some pressure on the LCA.

Nice! Make sure to lube up the poly bushings real good via the zerks. Dirt King says they come prelubed but they only put a small amount just to install the bushings. Mine were creaking like crazy at low speed prior to hitting them with silicone/ptfe Super Lube.

Ah, thanks! I was wondering about that since the instructions didn't mention it.

Too bad I already torqued and red loc-tited the bolt... I know you're supposed to take the tension off before you use the zerks.

Nice to see another running Fox 2.5s w/ Dirt King UCAs. 700lbs spring? Sound stiff unless you're adding a lot of weight in front?

It’s gonna be a bit stiff until my bumper and winch arrive. Hopefully not too much longer, last status update was that it’s being fabricated now.

I already have sliders, skids, and a dual battery setup.
