It’s an LED third. I need to measure what kind of current it draws. But I can’t imagine it’s a lot. Length is probably a couple feet on each side.

Check VLEDs if that would work. They just raised the price for an extension to $8, but it might work for you

Ok, in that case, sticking with the VLED suggestion, but fo with these: https://www.vleds.com/parts-accessories/bar-pod-lights.html
Their WP style extensions. Very small head, 2 conductor, and available for 12”-10’. 20 gauge wire, so I’m sure that’s more than enough.

I had one. Really nice light. Get it and I’ll hook you up with a harness for it :)

You sent me the harness remember

I’ve just been to bust with work and finishing the basement to actually install it. Lol

You only sent one male though :p That’s all I need, but it’s mine and I’m not sharing :angrygirl:

@RyanDCLB you know I’ll hook you up with whatever you need. It might take me forever, but I’ll do it :rofl:Just let me know what I can do for you

I remember that harness, just don’t remember what all leads it tapped
But I can make you one using the WP style plug from the harness all the way to the light. It’s an open invitation, just let me know. Gotta keep you and Caribe happy for them sweet, sweet wiring diagrams :D

PM me for later because I’m heading to bed, but I have something I can get to you tomorrow that will help diagram wise assuming you don’t have access already (it’s not TIS I’m Afraid, BUT it can help)

I can add those little wires, no need to make a whole second harness for me! Lol. It’s got the reverse and brake already tapped from ya

Nice! I think Dave is setting me up with a cargo illumination harness. Now, I'm looking for a male ECT style plug that goes into the switch for the light bar.

I should get some ECT's. They show as TE's:

    A107011CT-ND
    A126100CT-ND

I can try to source some on my own. I just finished a big cleanup / reorg of my connectors last night and found my bag of TE.

Nice! The "male auto high beam connector" uses the same connector as the ECT switch.

Anyone ever try to build an airbag disable harness? Liability concerns? Easiest design? @caribe makaira probably already solved this 10 years ago?

Are you planning on doing some Super Dave stunts with the family Taco?

Supposedly the 3rd Gen has some logic there for low speed stuff.

Definitely not for me. I’m thinking of taking my skids off while I have the steps on. Skids are definitely not needed for my current lifestyle.

Thinking latching relay, momentary switch, some way to attach at the fuse similar to add a fuse, relay breaks the connection when power applied once, resets when power drops.

The liability angle is what terrifies me.

Figured I’d as here with all the harness shenanigans. What is a good, flexible heat shrink type wire covering? I would like something like in the photo. It is not adhesive, has a good mil and is flexible. It is off of a Diode Dynamics harness. The double wall adhesive 3M that I used on my Bussman is solid and not desirable when recovered. Thanks
